Celebrating Excellence at the PICASSO Awards

On 11th November, the Hope & May team had the privilege of attending the prestigious PICASSO Awards in London – a night dedicated to recognising outstanding achievements in data privacy and data protection. It was inspiring to be surrounded by individuals and organisations who are shaping the future of our sector, raising standards, and championing best practice in an area that has never been more important.

This year, our very own CEO & Founder, Mark Burnett, was honoured as a finalist in the Outstanding DPO category. While he didn’t take home the award on the night, being shortlisted alongside such exceptional professionals was an achievement in itself – and one that filled all of us with immense pride. The calibre of the nominees was extraordinary, and it was humbling to see Mark’s work, leadership, and dedication recognised at this level.

For Hope & May, Mark’s nomination was unquestionably the highlight of the evening. It reflects not only his personal commitment to excellence, but also the remarkable journey our organisation has been on. From our origins as a small, family-run practice to becoming a trusted partner for charities, non-profits, healthcare providers, and businesses across the UK, we continue to grow in expertise, ambition, and impact.

Being named a finalist at the PICASSO Awards is yet another indicator that Hope & May is going from strength to strength. We are incredibly proud of how far we’ve come – and we have every confidence that further accolades, recognition, and achievements are on the horizon as we continue to support organisations to safeguard their data and protect the people behind it.

A huge thank you to the PICASSO Awards for an unforgettable evening, and congratulations to all the winners and nominees who are making such a meaningful difference to the world of data protection.
